The original 1940's ranch-style house, sitting on a steeply sloping
site, was all on one level with a large, completely unutilized
storage/mechanical room below. The clients' goals were to take full
advantage of the sweeping Bay views and to expand the square footage
by developing a large family room, bedroom and bath downstairs.

|
Previously a wall-in stair blocked view of the Bay from the entry.
The new stair with glass railing minimizes any visual distraction
between entry and view and helps organize living room and dining
area. Two large decks were added providing generous space for
outdoor living and entertaining.

Curb appeal was greatly enhanced by replacing the small carport
with a butterfly roofed garage with distinct glass door.
